Pernod Ricard Nigeria is thrilled to announce the unveiling of the Jameson Upcycled Bottle Christmas Tree, an eco-friendly initiative that combines sustainability with festive cheer. The event will kick off on December 21, 2024, at 6pm at the Ikeja City Mall Car Park, Alausa, Ikeja, and will run until January 1, 2025, featuring a series of engaging activities designed to create buzz and excitement.
This innovative project transforms approximately 2,500 empty Jameson bottles into a stunning 4-foot work of upcycled art, promoting environmental responsibility and community engagement. This initiative underscores Jameson’s commitment to eco-friendly practices and sustainable development.
Pernod Ricard Nigeria, the world’s second-largest wine and spirits company, aims to make the yuletide season unforgettable for fun-seekers with this unique unveiling. According to the company’s Managing Director, Michael Ehindero, “The initiative seeks to promote sustainability and environmental awareness, showcasing creative reuse of materials to foster community engagement and social responsibility.”
The Jameson Bottle Christmas tree will feature unique activities that will span a 12-day period, representing the famous “Twelve Days of Christmas”. The event will feature a variety of activities designed to drive memorable, impactful brand recall and community involvement. Highlights will include bond and connect sessions, Jameson-themed activities, Jameson candle art and gifting corner, silent disco, Carol, owambe, sip and paint sessions, Karaoke, Open Mic and a New Year’s Day concert. Each day will feature DJ performances and music to enhance the festive atmosphere.
His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State as well as the Honourable commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab will commission the Jameson Upcycled Bottle Christmas Tree at the launch of the event. This initiative aligns with Pernod Ricard’s Circular Making pillar of its Sustainability and Responsibility Roadmap 2030 and highlights the company’s commitment to sustainable practices and community involvement.
