On Saturday, October 27, 2018, Perpetual Chukwuma said I do to her long time sweetheart, Micheal Davies, at a private church ceremony, which was held at the SS Joachim and Anne Catholic Church, Meiran Estate, Lagos.
When asked how it all started, Micheal, the Assistant Manager, Business Development of Awesome Communication, a media communications company, had a poetry to support his story.
The Certified Customer Service and Telesale Professional had this to say:
“I was with eagle eyes on that faithful day of April 8, 2012, good Friday in Catholic Church Calendar going for an event at Island with two of my friends. People called us trinity because the three of us were always together. The unfortunate thing was the car we wanted to go with didn’t start and we decided to go commercial. Luckily for me we stopped Napep and haven spotted my dream girl inside the Napep with her enchanting beauty, I rushed in to sit next to her because my friends were sharp guys. I started engaging her in a conversation and when she’s about getting off I requested for her number she gave me reluctantly and swiftly called the number and being an intelligent young sharp I grabbed the numbers and dialled, it rang while she’s walking her way.
“That was the sojourn of how we met and I started following up after some months the feelings started growing till she sat me down and asked what exactly did I want from her and I told her I want to marry her.
“I initiated her to write down 10 things she likes about me and we both did. I know beauty and anything that’s good I go for it.
“I lured her to a foaster fathers birthday by buy wines from her shop then and asked her to bring it down and she did. That’s how I introduced her as my girlfriend.then my office was at opebi after close of work I will pick bike from there to Meiran in order to see her before she closes her shop.
“We went out to different places together with friends and even after some wrong advice to leave her and focus on another babe, I refused to listen and quarrelled with anyone with such idea.
“It was a journey of cat and rat, we quarrel and comeback like there’s no tomorrow.
“One day she told me she’s not interested in the relationship anymore I pleaded she refused, called her aunt to help me talk to her she was adamant, female colleague in my office too did talk to her she refused.
“One day I was in my office tears was rolling down my cheeks when my colleague asked me what happened I lied that one of my course mate in unilag at elegusi beach but I was crying not because of that even though the death pained me. I was cry because of this my small head wife called Peperena then. That’s the nickname I gave her. We separated for like a year even at that our eyes did not leave each other till we made up last year October 28th during a friends wedding of which she’s among bridal trains while I was among grooms men.
“That’s the shortest story. I could make it long and fun verbally?.
“It was all past and now few days to come we are tying the knot as husband and wife.”
He also asked, “Isn’t that a dream comes true?”. To that we sure think it was.
The reception for their wedding was well attended and fun, after which the glorious day was capped with an after party held at the prestigious Liquid Lounge Plus club in Ikeja.
The event was packaged by Annygolds Events, compered by Coded Events with video and photography handled by Bulleye.
