Three Ohio pastors have been indicted and charged with taking advantage of young girls at their church. According to federal prosecutors, the men of cloth were engaged in sex trafficking as they lured teenagers into prostitution.
The Rev. Cordell Jenkins, 47, the Rev. Anthony Haynes, 38, and the Rev. Kenneth Butler, 37, have all been named in an federal indictment handed up Tuesday.
Jenkins and Haynes were indicted in July, and all three pastors have pleaded not guilty.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office sent ourt a press release, whereby they wrote that Pastor Haynes began grooming a 14-year-old girl for prostitution in 2014, and investigators said all three men sexually assaulted her — possibly at Greater Life Christian Center, their home church.
Haynes allegedly recorded the sex acts on his cell phone and paid the girl “hush money” afterward.
