The assurance was given by the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, in an exclusive interview with .

“By the grace of God, the President will be there. He has already confirmed his attendance,” Basiru stated.
This confirmation quells fears of another postponement following last year’s indefinite suspension of the two crucial sessions initially slated for September 11 and 12.
The National Caucus meeting will take place today, 25 February 2025, at the Presidential Villa banquet hall at 6 pm, while the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting will follow on 26 February 2025 at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Dispelling speculation about further delays, Basiru insisted that both meetings would proceed as planned.
“No, nobody is postponing anything. The National Caucus and the NEC meetings will still be held Tuesday and Wednesday as scheduled,” he assured.
These meetings mark the first NEC and Caucus sessions to be held under the chairmanship of Dr Abdullahi Ganduje since his assumption of office as APC’s national chairman.
In addition to President Tinubu, the sessions are expected to host several top-ranking APC leaders, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, former President Muhammadu Buhari, and Senate President Dr Godswill Akpabio.
Also anticipated are former and current APC governors, state party chairmen, and members of the National Working Committee.
As the ruling party prepares for these pivotal gatherings, stakeholders hope the discussions will address pressing internal issues and set a clear path for the party’s future strategies ahead of the 2027 elections.
