The Priest-In-Charge of Christ The King Catholic Church, Rev. Fr, Atoyebi Adeyemi, has urged Christians to redouble their faith, exhibit more dedication in charity, and do not relent in prayers, especially in the face of global uncertainties and economic recession.
In his address at the church’s 2023 Harvest Thanksgiving and Bazaar, held on Sunday, the Priest said “As we come before God, let’s come with cheerfulness, trusting that He is the rewarder of every good deeds.”
Fr. Adeyemi used the medium to beckon on all parishioners of the church to rededicate themselves- love God with all their hearts. with all their might, and above all, not losing focus on the race before them.
“Furthermore, I want to thank the Chairman of the occasion, special guests, royal fathers of the day, Harvest Mother of the day, Harvest Queen, Princess and Prince, and all other members of the high tables for honouring our invites, I pray that your financial donations and contributions in the Harvest and Bazaar will be returned in multiple fold,” he added.
The event which held at Zunve Whezume area of Lagos got heated as the Chairman of the harvest, Mr. Collins Ikpeama, arrived with his entourage, comprising members of Progressive International All Stars (PIAS) and others.
Chairman of Planning Committee (CPC), Mr. A. Akatugba, welcomed the new Parish Priest in a special way, saying “We pray and hope your coming will make our dream come true in Jesus name. And the good work which you have been assigned to do in the vineyard of God will not be in vain.
The Planning Committee Chairperson, Mrs Maureen Nwafor, asserted that although it has not been easy this year, attendees are to appreciate God for His goodness and mercy in their life.
She said, “But the people of God surpass all these conditions because we God’s image and apple of His eyes, we are children of goodnews nothing much.”
