The fixtures for the 2023-24 Saudi Pro League have been released with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr set for a feisty opener.
The new season which begins Friday, August 11 will be the most eagerly anticipated season in Saudi Pro League history after a host of big-name arrivals including Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Roberto Firmino, and more.
The main attraction is still Cristiano Ronaldo who will lead his Al Nassr side against a familiar foe in Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, the newly appointed manager of Al Ettifaq.
The game will take place on Monday, August 14.
Reigning champions Al Ittihad, with former Real Madrid striker Benzema in their ranks, will start their title defence on the same day with a trip to Buraiydah to face Al Raed.
On August 11, newly promoted Al Ahli will renew rivalries with Al Hazem, whom they beat to the title by four points at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.
Ronaldo is set to lock horns with former Real Madrid team-mate Benzema on game week 17 at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
