Senate Committee Chairman, Sharafadeen Alli urges Oyo State government to investigate the fire that destroyed 100 shops in Ibadan’s Aleshinloye market
Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Electoral Matters, has called on the Oyo State government under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde to urgently investigate the cause of the fire that ravaged parts of Aleshinloye market in Ibadan.
The fire, which affected no fewer than 100 shops, has caused significant losses for traders in the area.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, Alli expressed deep concern over the tragic incident, emphasizing the need to prevent future occurrences.
He described the fire as a major setback for the local business community and extended his thoughts and prayers to those who have lost their businesses.
“All affected individuals should remain resilient in these challenging times,” said Alli. “I urge the Oyo State Government and relevant authorities to swiftly investigate the cause of the fire and take necessary measures to prevent future incidents.”
The lawmaker also called for immediate support and relief for the victims, emphasizing the importance of helping them recover from the devastating losses.
His appeal highlights the urgency of addressing such disasters to protect the livelihoods of hardworking traders in the state.
