A UKRAINIAN politician who shared naked photos on social media has been slammed for auctioning herself as a date for charity.
Anastasia Deeva, 25, deputy minister of Internal Affairs, raised over £330,000 for a children’s charity after agreeing to go for a meal with the highest public bidder.
A woman named Elena Feysun forked out the fee to send an unknown man to breakfast with the young politician.
But critics have panned the bizarre fundraiser for appearing to trash the country’s image.
Ms Deeva has an army of admirers after sharing pictures of herself both topless and completely naked online.
She sparked controversy when she was appointed to the government last year.
Irina Gerashchenko, first deputy-speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, said that Ms Deeva had been appointed without going through the usual interview process, adding that she “doubted” that the information in her CV was “entirely accurate”.
She said: “Her candidacy wasn’t discussed with the regular vice-deputy on Euro-Atlantic integration.”
But her boss Arsen Avakov hit back, defending his decision and insisting that she did meet the requirements for the job.
He also backed her nude pics, saying she “has the right to post naked selfies” if she wants to, blasting critics of her photographs as “hypocrites”.
Her date bidder revealed she is sending a “representative” to meet Ms Deeva, an unknown man who is to be her date.
