It’s no longer news that the celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji, is pregnant and she is not married, but the continuous mention of it, especially when OAP turned social critic, Daddy Freeze, jumped in, is getting on the nerves of many people and Rose P Graham, a social media influencer and popular blogger, is one of them.
The duo crossed the latter’s radar when Daddy Freeze spoke on Linda Ikeji’s pregnancy outside wedlock which has become a topic of debate on social media.
Recently, Linda Ikeji announced the news of her pregnancy and it quickly made rounds on social media. For some though, like the infamous Kemi Olunloyo, it was not something to be happy about.
While messages of goodwill and congratulations trooped in, some trolls, including Miss Olunloyo berated Linda Ikeji for getting pregnant while single.
She claimed that Linda was a hypocrite, having supposedly preached celibacy and hard work to young girls in the past, only to announce her pregnancy at the age of 36.
Soon enough, people with similar opinions echoed Miss Olunloyo’s sentiments across social media.
Freeze has also shared his opinion on the issue. He said Linda Ikeji getting pregnant before marriage isn’t wrong.
Defending Linda, Freeze said pre-marital sex came before marriage according to the Jewish law.
On his Instagram page, he wrote: “Linda Ikeji isn’t really wrong. According to Torah law, marriage is a two-step process. The first stage is called “kiddushin,” and the second step is known as “nisu’in.” Kiddushin is commonly translated as betrothal, it’s like the modern day ‘knocking on the door’ but actually renders the bride and groom full-fledged husband and wife. Betrothal is either through a contract, or through SEX!
“However, the bride and groom are not permitted to live together as husband and wife until the second stage, the nisu’in, is completed.
“Now, another instance is recorded in the Bible. If a man seduces a virgin who is not pledged to be married and sleeps with her, he must pay the bride-price, and she shall be his wife. Sex clearly came before marriage in this instance.
“So if Linda is bethrothed to be married, or is going to marry the one who got her pregnant, she is assumed to be in line with the Jewish customs, Jesus NEVER CHANGED THE MARRIAGE TRADITIONS, neither did the disciples.
“Now this does not make a case for sexual immorality outside marriage, it’s just for genuine couples who are betrothed, or a couple who eventually marry.
“The Greek word for “fornication” is “porneia”, which means ‘harlotry’ NOT PREMARITAL SEX by an engaged couple. Harlotry is prostitution!
“The GOs are the ones leading people to hell because they are teaching the law, tithing is the LAW, first fruit is the LAW, the law is sinful, it puts you under a curse(Gal3:10) and cuts you off.”
Now, this didn’t go down well with Rose, who argued that Daddy Freeze defence was lame and irresponsible that would only encourage pre-marital sex in teenagers, who are already looking for ways to justify having sex before tying the knot. She also asked that Linda Ikeji should endevour to keep her ‘privacy private’
Rose took to her timeline and wrote:
