Sahara Reporters publisher Omoyele Sowore has recounted how he spent 27 days in the cell of the Department of State Security, DSS.
Sowore was placed in solitary confinement after being charged with terrorism shortly before a planned Revolution Now protest last year.
Recounting hisborde, he shared: “This time last year, I’d spent some 27 days in this detention cell in solitary confinement, lawless DSS obtained a 45-day detention order from a Federal Judge, Justice Taiwo Taiwo claiming they were investigating me for “terrorism”.
“My lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN went back to the Federal High Court in Abuja asking them to review my unjust detention, the vacation judges did not budge until the ignoble regime and its goons manufactured new charges that were completely unrelated to terrorism.
“A year later, our compatriots are tired, angry and moving together in resistance against tyranny!”.
