Pate was Nigeria’s minister of state for health under the administration of ex-President Jonathan.
The former minister made the commendation in response to Jonathan’s congratulatory message sent to him over his appointment as World Bank’s Global Director for health, nutrition, and population.
Thanks very much Sir @GEJonathan for the immense honor of serving on your team 2011/13. Your leadership delivered largely polio-free Nigeria, halted Ebola, new vaccines, MSS, SOML, introduced RBF/NSHIP and many great things in the health sector. Future generations will honor you. https://t.co/JTxVFWwE2f

Meanwhile, we previously reported that Jonathan tasked Nigerians to pray and support the federal government to overcome the spate of kidnapping, terrorism and banditry in the country.
He described as worrisome, the spate of kidnappings and insecurity in the country, saying that insecurity has been there before now, but has now assumed a wider dimension.
Jonathan said this on Friday, May 17 in Abuja at the third session of the tenth Synod of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, which held at St. Mathew’s Church, Gwarimpa Estate.
