The mother of Mr Badru\u2019s girlfriend told the the press: \u201cAll I can tell you is he was a very good lad. A beautiful, beautiful person.<\/p>\n

We want this to be published because too many young lives are going too soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

A friend who knew the victim\u2019s family from Nigeria added: \u201cHe was a very responsible god fearing boy.\u201d

One neighbour described hearing \u201cone shot and a cry of pain\u201d.<\/p>\n

The man described looking out from his balcony and seeing \u201ca man slumped over on the ground at the back of a car\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs soon as I heard the bang, I knew it was a gunshot,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m ex-military and knew that couldn\u2019t be a firework.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was just one shot and a cry of pain. No speeding scooter and no speeding car.\u201d<\/p>\n

The man, who has lived on Mountford Estate since it was built in the 1980s, is considering moving out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m trying to raise a child here but with the number of people carrying knives and guns it just isn\u2019t safe,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Officers carried out house-to-house inquiries this morning, while distressed family members and friends were seen visiting what is understood to be the family home.<\/p>\n

Det Ch Insp Larry Smith, from Scotland Yard\u2019s murder squad, appealed to anyone with information to \u201ccome forward without delay\u201d.<\/p>\n
