Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, has reportedly collapsed after he was hit by a teargas canister fired by some policemen.<\/p>\n

A combined team of security operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS) and Nigeria Police Force, has laid siege to the Ekiti state government house.<\/p>\n

According to Fayose\u2019s spokesperson, Idowu Adelusi, he described the act as an assassination attempt on the life of governor.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe governor is currently receiving treatment at govt house clinic after he was hit by a teargas canister fired by the policemen.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe armed policemen are still laying siege at the Govt House, Ekiti State\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n
