The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, on Saturday warned against violence during the forth coming elections.<\/p>\n
Ogunwusi armed that there was no gain in shedding of blood, adding that a dead person can\u2019t be useful to the society.<\/p>\n
The traditional ruler issued the warning at the Grand-finale of New Year Prayer Service organised by Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ile- Ife Chapter, at Afenworo Park, Enuwa Square, Ile-Ife, Osun State.<\/p>\n
According to Ooni, \u201cThere is no gain in shedding of blood, trouble and violence. Anyone who dies cannot come back to be useful to the society again.\u201d<\/p>\n
The monarch urged stakeholders to maintain peace and orderliness in the forthcoming elections, stressing that \u201d it is only God that enthrones and put his choice on the throne.\u201d<\/p>\n
Oba Ogunwusi further called on politicians to give peace a chance and allow peaceful coexistence.<\/p>\n
He stated that if truly politicians want to serve humanity, they should desist from do or die affairs.<\/p>\n
