Globacom has retained its position as the preferred network for new telephone subscribers in Nigeria. This was conveyed in the\u00a0latest report by telecommunications industry regulator, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).<\/p>\n

According to the report published on NCC\u2019s website, Globacom added a massive 2,103,721 million new customers in July to take its subscriber base to\u00a058,330,200\u00a0from 56,226,479 the previous month. This represents 83% of the total 2,523,276 new phone users recorded in the country in July.<\/p>\n

MTN came a distant second with 392,440 new subscriptions in July, while Airtel was third with 90,955 new customers.\u00a0However, 9mobile recorded a loss of 63,840 subscribers as its base fell from\u00a012,659,356\u00a0in June\u00a0to\u00a012,595,516 in July.<\/p>\n
