The 49-year-old was arraigned by the Lagos State Police Command on one count of attempted theft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prosecutor, Thomas Nurudeen, told the court that the defendant entered the Ahmadiya Muslim Hospital at Ijaiye, Ojokoro, on June 22, 2023, and attempted to abscond with a newborn baby when the mother was asleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Nurudeen, the offence contravened and is punishable under Section 21 (5) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magistrate Patrick Nwaka admitted her to bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
