The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the electrocution of a yet-to-be-identified person in the Day Waterman area along the Kobape area of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The police explained on Wednesday that the yet-to-be-identified man was cutting the cable that belongs to the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company when the incident happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our correspondent learnt that a staff member of the IBEDC at the Owode Egba branch reported the matter to the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the command, Omolola Odutola, told our correspondent that the \u201ccorpse has been taken to the Ogun State Teaching Hospital Sagamu for autopsy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, two casual staff members of the Quantum Packaging Company, Igbesa, were arrested for allegedly stealing a cable suspected to belong to the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was gathered that the suspects were first apprehended by the Chief Security Officer of the company, Okoi Akilepo, who was on a foot patrol at the time, before they were handed over to the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
